It’s with great satisfaction that Hobie Brazil announces the second edition of its national kayak fishing championship, the Hobie Fishing Brasil, which will classify its winners to the next Hobie Fishing Worlds, the world-wide tournament of the category.
The success of the first edition captivated everyone with its new kayak fishing philosophy and brought the Hobie Way of Life, in which not only competitors can enjoy days of fun, but all families are also encouraged to participate in this unique moment in the life of sport anglers.
Held in 2017 in the city of Campina Grande do Sul, Paraná. The winners were classified for the Hobie Fishing Worlds 7 competition, in Sweden and represented Brazil in the international tournament.
It is time to gather the most determined anglers in the country and select those who will represent Brazil in Hobie Fishing Worlds 8, which still has no settled place or date.
From September 14 to 17, 2018, competitors and their families will have the opportunity to experience the Hobie Way of Life. As in the previous edition, the venue was carefully selected to receive the best possible infrastructure and provide maximum fun, comfort and of course, so our competitors can focus on one thing: fishing!
The Great Lakes Thermas, in the city of Santa Clara D’Oeste, located 200km from São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, will host the second edition of the national kayak fishing championship. The place has private villas, exclusive pools for guests, a complete and clear water park, and the main attraction: it is located on the banks of the Paraná River, exactly at its zero mark, where the Rio Grande meets with the Paranaíba River.

Following the most rigorous international standards and qualifying tournament guidelines for the world kayak fishing championship, the Hobie Fishing Worlds, Hobie Fishing Brazil will be held in two days: Saturday and Sunday, respectively, September 15 and 16.
The target species of this edition will be the blue and yellow peacock bass, abundant in the region waters and sure to be the main stars of the event, which follows the CVR format (Catch – Video – Release).
It doesn’t matter if you still do not own a Hobie kayak, you are also invited to participate in this great national sport fishing event. Like all qualifying tournaments for Hobie Fishing Worlds around the world, Hobie Fishing Brazil also awaits you to experience the Hobie Way of Life and maybe attend to the next kayak world championship.
